Wednsday 1 May 2024
BuzzCycles held its first Wednesday group ride to take advantage of the lighter evenings.
The weather was changeable all day, but the evening proved to be the best part of the day for some cycling. 4 of us set off at about 6:37. Tom our ride leader took us down the canal cycle path to Tiddenfoot Waterside Park. Tom then took us down Mentmore Road which turns into a bridleway under the bypass so that we can access the lovely countryside of Ledburn and Mentmore on our own rides. We then returned for a lap of the Tiddenfoot Waterside Park where we paused to admire the lake. Everyone wanted to a cycle a little more, so we head south to Grove lock before return the same way to head back to Leighton Buzzard Town Centre via the discussed railway track.
Our planned ride was now done, so Anne and Yasmin left us to go home while Tom & Sebastian cycled some more along Riverside Walk and the Grand Union to make the most of the evening.
Our next ride is Wednesday 8 May 24 18:30 at Market Cross where we aim to provide a flexible ride that caters for those who want a short ride and those who fancy something a bit longer.
