September Leighton Buzzard Cycle Route of The Month
Our September route takes us to the edge of Linslade Woods before picking up the Rock Lane bridleway that runs around the edge of Bideford Green

Route Summary
The route starts at the Fly Past Monument a tribute to aircraft manufacturing for aircraft such as Vimy Bomber Biplane. The route in the main passes through quiet residential areas, the shared use cycle path skirting the edge of Linslade Woods and the Rock Lane Bridleway.
The route is suitable for all types of bikes, but parts of the Rock Lane Bridleway are dirt track but are easily avoided by diverting onto Himley Green which runs parallel with the upper parts of Rock Lane
The route finishes at the edge of Leighton Buzzard where you can take refreshments at one of the many cafes or bars.
Much of the route follows quiet residential areas the majority are traffic calmed with a 20mph limit. The heavier traffic will be found on the Leighton Buzzard Town Centre roads which have a 20mph limit and are traffic calmed but still require care. You also use a short section of Stoke Road which can be busier
